CAMPAIGN PRINCIPLES | RESPONSIBILITIES OF GUIDANCE IN GIVING |
PARISH CLIENTS & REFERENCES BY STATE
The Guidance In Giving, Inc. parish campaign program involves a variety of fund-raising techniques. Our model for success has incorporated the best standard of fund-raising principles with innovations we have tested and refined over the years. All of these principles and methods are firmly rooted in the ideals of Christian Stewardship. Among the responsibilities of Guidance In Giving, Inc. in implementing and directing a successful parish capital campaign are to:
- Develop an individualized plan of action to implement a campaign timetable that will allow the parish to raise its goal in a prudent and sensitive manner.
- Suggest a challenging but achievable goal for the parish.
- Design and implement the most practical approach to identify and solicit Leadership Gifts in each parish.
- Analyze parishioners giving history to establish appropriate gift levels for the various campaign phases including the Special Gift and General Gifts effort.
- Conduct campaign orientation and training meetings to secure the support of parish leaders.
- Organize and facilitate campaign receptions for as many families as possible.
- Determine the most effective manner of personal solicitation and implement the plan with the most efficient use of volunteers.
- Conduct parish orientation and training sessions as well as weekly report meetings for all campaign volunteers.
- Produce all printed materials including brochures, leaders' and workers' training manuals, solicitation materials, suggested pulpit talks, parish bulletin inserts, pledge cards, and related items.
- Produce and develop a variety of materials such as newsletters, newspaper articles and posters to publicize the campaign.
- Control, manage and analyze campaign progress utilizing computer technology in order to track campaign progress.
- Set up the appropriate systems in order to acknowledge gifts and produce all relevant correspondence.
- Determine how to best utilize direct mail, in-pew solicitation, tables after Mass and telephone follow-up.
- Implement the follow-up program including a process for the redemption.
Flexibility in designing a program the pastor and parishioners feel comfortable with will make a campaign successful. Most parishes will use a combination of the aforementioned techniques to achieve maximum results. Our executive staff members and account executives will work closely with the leadership of each parish to determine the best plan of action for each individual client. It is not the firm's objective to dictate or strong arm but rather guide, make recommendations and work closely with the parish leadership so the campaign financial potential is achieved. The goal of Guidance In Giving, Inc. in serving you is to raise the most funds possible in the most professional and spiritual manner. Our mission is to help you obtain the funds to further your mission.
