your parish. As a full-service Catholic organization involved
solely with developing programs for parishes, dioceses and
schools, we have the experience and expertise to design a
successful Stewardship-based capital campaign for your parish.
Our parish fund-raising program has been developed over a period of many years and provides each parish family the opportunity to respond. Each parishioner is asked to prayerfully consider the needs of the parish and then asked to consider a pledge of financial support to the best of their ability. We have found that once parishioners are educated regarding the reasons their parish is conducting a campaign, the majority of families respond quite favorably. Therefore, our campaign allows parishioners to take ownership of the effort in their parish, which allows for their community to raise the maximum amount of funds.
Guidance In Giving, Inc. offers its parish clients full-service campaign direction that is customized to the needs of each community. The firm understands that today's pastor faces many challenges. The challenges involve not only meeting the spiritual needs of his parishioners, but also the temporal needs of his parish. By designing and implementing an organized campaign plan, Guidance In Giving, Inc. aims to effectively use the time of pastors, parish staff and lay leadership to achieve the maximum financial potential. Our full-time, on-site service alleviates the worry that is sometimes associated with a fund-raising campaign and allows parish leadership to concentrate on its most important mission, that of serving its people.
In a successful Stewardship-based capital campaign, every Catholic family is challenged to give prayerfully and proportionately to the best of their financial ability over a period of three to five years. Each and every gift is vitally important, therefore a key element of the campaign is to provide everyone the opportunity to make a decision after they have learned about the parish's needs. The most effective manner of educating each parish family and raising the maximum amount of funds is through personal solicitation. This is the most commonly employed and most successful method of raising funds. In order to achieve the greatest amount of personal contact, Guidance In Giving, Inc. utilizes a reception model. This model improves participation among Leadership and Special Gift prospects and reduces the number of volunteers needed in a capital campaign, while still achieving maximum results. The reception also provides the optimal opportunity to convey the needs of the parish and the urgency of the campaign. In addition, personal contact will engage the time and talent of a large numbers of parishioners in an important parish effort, thus building a stronger sense of community and providing the opportunity for evangelization.
