In the fall of 2016, following several years of site planning measures, St. Pius X Parish leadership decided to move forward with its first capital campaign in 28 years. With nearly 2,000 registered households and over 55 ministries and social activities, the time had come to address several important areas of need. Due to the scope of these projects it was determined that the plan would be implemented in three phases: Phase 1 Construct Parish Family Activity Center, Expand Business Offices and Hohman Hall with New Latchkey-Youth Ministry Office; Phase 2 Expand Church Narthex and create an Adoration Chapel; Phase 3 Build a New School Addition (1st Floor designed to accommodate a future 2nd story).
The total estimated cost to complete all three phases is $6.1 million. A campaign goal was set at $3 million in order to accomplish the Phase 1 projects. Currently, the faith community has raised over $2.8 million. During the next several months, it is expected that St. Pius X Catholic Church and School will continue to receive multiple new gifts and pledges. Groundbreaking is set for the spring of 2018.
